for 2002 - 2007 Jeep KJ Liberty (including CR-Diesel model) These skids are made from 3/16" thick steel on the bottom and sides, are powder coated, and are completely bolt-on. All the hardware is included. They are designed to work with the factory hitch as you can see in the pictures below.  2002-2007 KJ Liberty Gas Tank Skid Plate JP-4002: $272.00 This shot shows the gas tank skid installed with a factory hitch. Here's the view from the driver's side. The bracket is attached to the skid plate first. Then the assembled skid is installed. Notice that this skid is installed with a hitch. This view is from the passenger side. The mounting bracket incorporates a heat shield to prevent the exhaust system from damaging the plastic gas tank. Another view showing the right side mount installed with a hitch. This view shows how much clearance there is between the gas tank and the rear differential. There's plenty of room to add a diff guard.
