These gas tank skid plates replace your factory sheetmetal "skid plate" and are made of 3/16" thick steel and are sold with no coating. It attaches using the original hardware and no drilling is required for installation.

These skids have been tested in Paragon Adventure Park here in PA, as well as in Moab, Tellico, and on other trails all over the country. These are the best skid plates you can buy for your Nissan. Another lesson learned during our off-road testing is that these skid plates help you get over obstacles by preventing your chassis cross-members from catching on whatever you're driving over. 	This gas tank skid plate replaces the factory sheetmetal gas tank "skid plate". You can easily see that it provides solid protection for the sides of your gas tank that neither the factory nor our competition provided.
	Unlike our competition our skid plate incorporates an important safety feature to prevent damage to your gas tank in the event of a side impact collision, just like your original skid plate. It can be seen on the top left corner of the skid in this view.
