This new engine/transmission skid plate is the first and only one available for your awesome new JK. It is designed to provide complete coverage for your vulnerable engine oil pan, transmission, AND your exhaust system. It is designed to work on stock vehicles and with virtually any suspension lift: short or long arm.

Our JK engine/transmission skid plates mount solidly to the Jeep's frame and are specially designed for easy bolt-on installation. No drilling is required for a 100% completely bolt-on installation!

Jeep JK Wrangler - Engine/Transmission Skid Plate - parts These skid plates are made of 3/16" thick steel that is laser cut and CNC folded for consistent quality that sets the standard for Jeep skid plates. They are also reinforced with a second layer of 3/16" thick steel just below the exhaust system to provide plenty of strength while easily clearing your exhaust system.

Our skid plates are abrasive-blasted prior to being powder coated to assure that the finish adheres better than our competitor's coatings. We use a semi-gloss black for an attractive finish that's easy to touch up when necessary.

Shown is our JP-5001 engine skid plate for a 2007 JK Wrangler. The skid plate is mounted to the chassis near the motor mounts using existing holes. No drilling is required at all! At the rear the skid plate bolts to the factory transmission cross-member using a mix of carriage bolts and the factory hardware.
This picture shows the driver's side mounting bracket. It uses existing holes and the motor mount bolt. There's no interference with the suspension or driveshaft with this mounting system.
This is the passenger side bracket. Again, it attaches using existing holes and the hardware is provided with the skid plate. All of the mounting hardware is zinc plated for corrosion resistance.
This view shows the clearance for the driveshaft. Also note that carriage bolts are used to fasten the passenger side of the skid plate to the cross-member and that ALL of the fasteners are "sunk" into the skid plate.
Here's a close-up view of the oil drain hole. Oil changes can be performed easily with minimal mess.
